The Difference We Make…
As a young single mother who had herself spent time in care, Jenna found her life spiraling out of control with violent behaviours, mental health issues and addictions. As a result Jenna lost custody of her son. Although Jenna could have given up all hope of being a good parent to her son, she found the courage and desire to regain custody and begin a new life with him.
With the support of her Family Support Worker, Jenna started attending mental health appointments, found suitable housing, and worked hard at learning and practicing new parenting skills. With McMan’s help and because of Jenna’s persistence, courage and desire to succeed, her son was returned to her care. She and her son are not only surviving, but thriving successfully as a family.
